The role focuses on creating user-centered digital experiences through research, design, prototyping, and accessibility-focused solutions.
You will work on complex digital services, translating user and business needs into intuitive, scalable front-end designs.
The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, contributing throughout the product delivery lifecycle.
You will help shape design systems, interactive prototypes, usability strategies, and implementation-ready specifications.
Your work will directly influence how users interact with digital platforms across multiple channels and devices.

The Senior Front End Designer will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions that improve digital experiences and support business objectives. Working closely with product teams, stakeholders, and technical partners, this role will help define, validate, and evolve user-focused solutions through research, prototyping, and iterative design practices.
- Create evidence-based front-end design solutions aligned with established design methods, standards, and user experience principles.
- Develop UX artifacts including user flows, scenarios, storyboards, wireframes, interactive prototypes, design specifications, and supporting documentation.
- Design and maintain foundational design assets such as component libraries, design patterns, and visual style guidelines.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, business teams, and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective digital experiences.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
- Plan and support user research activities to validate assumptions and improve design decisions.
- Develop usability testing plans, conduct evaluations, and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Communicate design decisions clearly and provide recommendations that align project teams, business areas, and leadership stakeholders.
- Analyze accessibility requirements and recommend improvements to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Explore multiple design approaches and communicate solutions through sketches, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of digital services by applying modern design methodologies and user-centered thinking.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in front-end design, UX practices, and digital product development. They are comfortable working in collaborative Agile environments and can transform complex requirements into intuitive, accessible, and scalable digital solutions.
- Proven experience as a Front End Designer creating and enhancing digital services across web and other platforms.
- Strong experience developing UX deliverables such as user journeys, workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction designs.
- Experience working within cross-functional product teams using Agile methodologies.
- Experience designing solutions for complex digital platforms, enterprise applications, or large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Experience creating and maintaining component libraries or design systems is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and principles, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
- Experience with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Axure, or similar platforms.
- Ability to evaluate multiple design solutions and communicate design decisions effectively through visual artifacts.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies, research practices, and service experience improvement.
- Experience designing for multiple devices and channels, including web and mobile environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, developers, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Experience working on large-scale public sector, enterprise, or digital transformation projects is considered an asset.
- Competitive contract compensation of $90–$98/hour.
- Fully remote position available to candidates located in Canada.
