Job Description

Senior Product Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Designer based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of AI-powered enterprise software experiences within highly regulated industries.
You will design intuitive, trustworthy workflows that help financial institutions operate more efficiently and confidently.
Working closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams, you will influence product direction from discovery through execution.
The role requires a strong understanding of complex systems, user needs, and the balance between innovation and compliance.
You will have significant ownership in creating scalable design solutions, improving usability, and building products used by real-world operators.
This is a hands-on position for a designer who enjoys solving ambiguous problems and creating meaningful impact through thoughtful product experiences.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior Product Designer, you will lead the design strategy and execution for critical product areas, transforming complex operational challenges into simple, effective, and reliable user experiences. You will collaborate across teams to define solutions, improve workflows, and ensure AI-driven products are transparent and easy to use.

  • Own end-to-end product design processes, including user discovery, workflows, interaction models, prototypes, and final experiences.
  • Design enterprise-grade software experiences focused on complex, multi-step workflows and operational use cases.
  • Translate business, regulatory, and user requirements into intuitive product solutions.
  • Partner with product managers to identify user problems, define priorities, and make informed design decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure high-quality implementation and alignment between design and development.
  • Create experiences that promote trust, transparency, and user control when interacting with AI-powered systems.
  • Build and maintain scalable design systems, reusable patterns, and documentation to support product growth.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterative improvements based on customer feedback and real-world usage.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings strong product design expertise, experience working on complex B2B or enterprise products, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while delivering impactful solutions. You should combine strong interaction design skills with a deep understanding of users, business objectives, and technical constraints.

  • 6+ years of product design experience, with significant experience in enterprise software or B2B products.
  • Proven experience designing complex systems such as dashboards, workflow tools, administrative platforms, or regulated products.
  • Strong ability to understand, analyze, and translate user challenges into effective product experiences.
  • Advanced interaction design and information architecture skills.
  • Experience collaborating directly with engineering and product teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to balance user needs, technical limitations, and business priorities.
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity and evolving product requirements.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, problem-solving ability, and depth beyond visual design.
  • Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or other regulated industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered products, automation workflows, data-heavy interfaces, or design systems is highly valued.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote work environment with flexibility across Canada and the United States.
  • Opportunity to shape AI-powered products solving complex challenges in financial services.
  • High ownership role with direct influence over product direction and user experience strategy.
  • Collaboration with experienced product, engineering, and leadership teams.
  • Opportunity to build scalable design systems and establish design practices as the company grows.
  • Work on meaningful products where trust, accuracy, and usability directly impact users.
  • Professional growth opportunities in a fast-moving technology environment.
