  • Travel periodically to the office location for planning, collaboration, and team engagement.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings hands-on AV design experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to independently manage projects from initial requirements through final documentation.

  • Proven experience designing AV systems from concept through complete, build-ready solutions.
  • Strong understanding of AV switching and distribution, control systems, and networked AV technologies.
  • Experience with Extron and Control4 platforms.
  • Proficiency with D-Tools, Visio, CAD software, or comparable AV design and documentation tools.
  • Strong technical documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining effective collaboration with leadership and project teams.
  • Located on the East Coast of the United States with availability for periodic travel.
  • Commercial AV design experience preferred, particularly within higher education, K-12, public sector, or similar environments.

  • Control4 programming experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lutron or other lighting control systems preferred.
  • Residential integration experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience using AI tools for engineering, research, or documentation workflows preferred.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation range of approximately $75,000–$85,000 depending on experience.
  • Fully remote work flexibility for qualified candidates located on the East Coast.
  • Health insurance coverage.
  • Paid time off and company holidays.
  • Retirement plan with company matching.
