Your Role in Our Journey

Wine Enthusiast Companies is hiring a Supervising Video Producer in Valhalla, NY to lead and manage our video team and content strategy across our Media and Commerce divisions. The candidate must have experience shooting and editing and be able to manage the production workflow from scripting to preproduction through postproduction. This person will need to be available to shoot and edit videos at our Westchester headquarters and the surrounding NYC metro area. Occasional national and international travel is required.

The supervising video producer will be responsible for working with the VP of Brand to map out a growth plan to meet publishing and marketing goals and create high quality videos for Wine Enthusiast’s platforms. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of social media trends, content trends, as well as emerging technologies and platforms.

The supervising producer will be a natural leader and motivator, helping team members to grow while also crafting visual content unique to Wine Enthusiast. The candidate must be a collaborator who can take and give feedback to revise video formats and pitches, so that the scope of content meets specific business needs.

What You'll Be Uncorking

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with overall video strategy and growth planning to deliver unique video content that educates and entertains.
  • Manage the production workflow from conception to post.
  • Take editorial and commerce goals and turn them into clever video concepts that are shot and formatted specific to the needs of the distribution outlet.
  • Create and track production budgets and schedules.
  • Create and maintain a rolodex of skilled vendors, agencies, and freelancers.
  • Oversee management of raw footage, assets, media delivery and project archive.
  • Communicate across departments and stakeholders about project budgets, schedules, approvals and deliverables.
  • Help develop a consistent brand look and feel for video content across distribution outlets in collaboration with social media, marketing and creative departments.
  • Create a system for updating older assets (including existing footage) to give it new life.

The Perfect Blend (What You Bring to the Table)

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in story development, producing, writing, shooting, and editing.
  • Experience managing video production and delivering against deadlines.
  • Background in nonfiction and brand storytelling, ideally with experience working in food, drinks, and lifestyle.
  • Very strong storytelling skills and familiarity with multiple formats and platforms.
  • Expertise in coaching and growing on-camera talent and mentoring junior staff.
  • Deep knowledge of field and postproduction processes, equipment and programs.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at various production stages.
  • Proven ability to think big picture and execute at any level (a 'no task is too small’ mentality required).
  • Excellent time management skills.

Technical Skills:

  • Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Proven experience leveraging AI tools to enhance efficiency across video production workflows, including editing, post-production, and content optimization.
  • Experience tracking and reporting on content performance, with the ability to synthesize data into clear insights and recommendations for cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of the current digital and social media landscape, including creating content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms.
  • A working knowledge of video production equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in creating wine, drinks and/or lifestyle content a major plus

This position offers a flexible hybrid schedule, requiring employees to be onsite at our Valhalla, NY headquarters twice per week, with Tuesday designated as a required in-office day.

The pay range for this role is:
115,000 - 125,000 USD per year(200 Summit)
