Position Description:

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about helping ensure employees are paid accurately and on time?

We’re looking for a Payroll Coordinator to support payroll operations and serve as a key resource for employees, supervisors, and managers. In this role, you’ll coordinate payroll activities, review timekeeping information, resolve discrepancies, prepare payroll reports, and help ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

What You’ll Do

  • Enter and maintain accurate employee and payroll information in the payroll system.
  • Coordinate payroll activities and respond to employee questions and inquiries related to payroll and timekeeping.
  • Review employee hours and timekeeping records to support accurate payroll submission.
  • Monitor missing and incorrect punches and follow up with employees and supervisors to resolve discrepancies.
  • Enter approved timekeeping corrections and prepare payroll for Business Manager review and authorization.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to department managers and supervisors regarding payroll expenses, hours worked, and related information.
  • Maintain hours by category and assist with weekly reporting related to missing or incorrect punches.
  • Serve as a resource to managers, supervisors, and departments regarding payroll expenses, hours worked, and timekeeping processes.
  • Prepare Prior Period Adjustments for submission to Corporate.
  • Support payroll-related questions and help resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Serve as a backup and cross-train in other areas of the Business Office as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Protect the confidentiality and accuracy of employee payroll and timekeeping information.

What We’re Looking For

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Experience

  • One (1) year of experience in payroll, purchasing, business administration, or a related area (preferred)
  • Experience with payroll systems, timekeeping, or employee records (preferred)
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications (preferred)

Licenses/Certifications

  • Must maintain any client-mandated certifications and/or training requirements.
