Our concepts include Barberry, a seasonally driven all-day restaurant; Flamingo Bar, a cocktail bar celebrating Texas spirits; Prado Provisions, a grab-and-go café; and Bar Nado, serving handrolls, bento boxes, and frozen drinks poolside.

Barberry is a seasonally driven neighborhood restaurant where Central Texas meets French farmhouse. Rooted in responsible Hill Country sourcing, our menu offers light, bright, seasonal dishes across breakfast, lunch, and dinner, alongside a seasonal cocktail program and a wine list focused on the United States and France.

Position Summary
The Barback supports Barberry’s bartenders by preparing, stocking, and maintaining the bar so beverages can be served consistently and on time.
Bar Setup & Service
- Stock glassware, ice, spirits, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, and service supplies.
- Prepare approved garnishes and ingredients according to established procedures.
- Replenish products during service before they are depleted.
- Keep the service well and beverage pickup area organized.
- Communicate shortages and preparation needs to bartenders promptly.
Cleaning & Product Handling
- Collect, wash, polish, and restock glassware.
- Clean bar surfaces, tools, equipment, storage spaces, and service areas.
- Assist with receiving, product rotation, inventory counts, and closing duties.
- Report waste, breakage, damaged equipment, and product concerns.
- Handle alcoholic beverages and serve guests only when authorized.
Standards & Conduct
- Follow sanitation, food-safety, and responsible alcohol-service procedures.
- Handle glassware, beverage cases, ice, and cleaning chemicals safely.
- Work with urgency while remaining respectful of guests and teammates.
Qualifications
- Bar, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Interest in beverages and willingness to learn bar operations.
- Strong organization, reliability, and teamwork.
- Ability to move supplies and handle glassware safely.
- Food Handler and TABC certifications required or ability to obtain within the required timeframe.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to perform frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive movements.
Reports To: F&B Manager; works under bartender direction during service.
