  • Help employees navigate the tough stuff — claims issues, provider searches, prior authorizations, appeals, and coordination of benefits
  • Own benefits communications, including new hire onboarding, open enrollment campaigns, life event guidance, and ongoing education
  • Partner with carriers and vendors to resolve escalated employee issues
  • Support open enrollment planning, meetings, and post-enrollment follow-up
  • Reconcile and process monthly benefits invoices across carriers and vendors

  • Support COBRA administration and coordinate with third-party administrators
  • Stay current on federal and state regulatory changes affecting group health and welfare plans

Who You Are

  • A warm, empathetic people person who's just as comfortable heads-down in a spreadsheet as across the table from a teammate
  • 5+ years of experience in employee benefits, benefits administration, HR, or a related field (HR, insurance/brokerage, or healthcare/medical backgrounds all welcome)
  • Working knowledge of group health and welfare plans and applicable regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, Section 125)
