This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Account Executive (Advisory - Learning & Training Providers) based in the United States.
This role is focused on driving strategic enterprise growth within the learning and training sector.
You will build and expand relationships with senior corporate decision-makers, helping organizations address workforce development and future-of-work challenges.
The position combines consultative selling, complex deal management, strategic account planning, and new business development.
You will manage sophisticated sales cycles from opportunity development through proposal, negotiation, and close.
Working across Product, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Delivery, you will bring together internal expertise to create compelling solutions for clients.
The role offers significant autonomy within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where ideas can be tested and strategies refined quickly.
As a remote position with approximately 25% travel, it provides the opportunity to influence high-value partnerships while engaging directly with enterprise leaders.
- Drive revenue growth through new business development by understanding client challenges and identifying opportunities to build long-term strategic partnerships.
- Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans aligned with revenue and pipeline targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, including SVP- and executive-level decision-makers at large organizations.
- Lead complex and lengthy sales cycles from initial opportunity through proposal development, negotiation, contracting, and close.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and client-facing materials tailored to business needs.
- Lead responses to large and complex RFPs, coordinating internal stakeholders to develop competitive and relevant solutions.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts while understanding key commercial and legal considerations.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, services, pricing structures, contract parameters, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain an accurate and healthy sales pipeline while providing timely reporting and reliable forecasts using Salesforce.
- Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Delivery teams to develop solutions and close strategic opportunities.
- Provide informed client and market feedback to Product teams that can contribute to future product development and roadmap decisions.
- Participate in industry events and other activities requiring approximately 25% travel to strengthen relationships and generate new opportunities.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in enterprise sales or another complex B2B sales environment.
- Demonstrated success developing, building, and executing strategic territory and account plans.
- Proven ability to manage complex, lengthy sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and significant commercial considerations.
- Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to identify client challenges and collaboratively develop creative, tailored solutions.
- Experience communicating independently and persuasively with Fortune 100 and other senior executive decision-makers.
- Track record of successfully managing and winning large, complex RFP processes.
- Experience creating sophisticated client proposals and presentations that clearly connect solutions to business objectives.
- Strong understanding of enterprise sales processes, pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM best practices.
- Deep working knowledge of Salesforce and the ability to provide timely, accurate pipeline and forecast updates.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated history of strong sales performance and consistent results.
- Ability to provide insightful commercial and client feedback that can help shape products and services.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a small, fast-moving team and take hands-on ownership of priorities.
