Medical Scribe in Fort Myers, Florida at PRECISION HEALTHCARE SPECIALISTS LLC

Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Medical Scribe to support our ENT & Allergy specialty team. The Medical Scribe will work closely with physicians and clinical staff to accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR), allowing the provider to focus on patient care.

The ideal candidate will have excellent listening and typing skills, strong attention to detail, and an understanding of medical terminology. Experience in an ENT, allergy, or other specialty medical practice is a plus.

• Accompany providers during patient visits and accurately document patient encounters in the EMR.
• Record patient histories, symptoms, physical examination findings, assessments, and treatment plans as directed by the provider.
• Document diagnoses, medications, procedures, orders, referrals, and follow-up instructions.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and entered in a timely manner.
• Assist providers with reviewing and updating patient charts.
• Prepare charts and review available patient information prior to appointments.
• Enter laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic information into the EMR as directed.
• Assist with documentation related to procedures and office visits.
• Ensure provider documentation is completed and routed appropriately.
• Assist with maintaining organized and up-to-date medical records.
• Communicate with clinical and administrative staff as needed to ensure accurate patient information.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
• Follow all practice policies and procedures.
• Perform other administrative or clinical support duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous medical scribe experience preferred.
• Healthcare or medical office experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology.
• Excellent listening, typing, and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable working with electronic medical records and computer systems.
• Ability to quickly and accurately document information while listening to the provider and patient.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
• Professional, dependable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a clinical team.

• Previous experience as a Medical Scribe.
• Experience in ENT, Allergy, Otolaryngology, or another specialty practice.
• Familiarity with common ENT/allergy terminology and procedures.
• Previous experience working directly alongside physicians.
• EMR experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

The ability to multitask and keep up with a busy provider is extremely important. Previous ENT or allergy experience is a plus but not required for the right candidate with strong medical scribe or medical office experience.
