POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Mid-Level developer who experience in implementing end-to-end large-scale applications across multiple geographical regions. The person should have strong command of Python programming. This role will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications, ensuring seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Implement, enhance and maintain Python-based batch processing applications.
  • Leverage Pandas and NumPy for efficient data manipulation, transformation, and analysis.
  • Implement database interactions in applications using SQL Alchemy.
  • Contribute to solution design and implementation with a focus on high availability, scalability, maintainability, and reusability.
  • Assist across the software development lifecycle, including design, system integration testing and deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Requirements:

NON-TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule (3-5 days per week) in Jersey City, NJ.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize and self-start.
  • Must be adaptable/flexible as priorities shift.
  • Must be enthusiastic and have passion for learning and constant improvement.
  • Must be open to collaboration, feedback and client asks.
  • Must enjoy working with a vibrant team of outgoing personalities.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Proficient in Python with 3-4 years’ minimum experience in software development.
  • Experience writing scalable and reusable code, testing and debugging applications
  • Strong experience working with Pandas, NumPy and ORM’s like SQL Alchemy.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and design patterns
  • Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong experience in SQL and working with RDBMS
  • Experience with Unix/Linux servers
  • Self-starter that can work independently and can take full ownership of tasks
  • Good team player with ability to work well with others
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previously worked for a project in investment banking or investment management technology

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Understanding of Fixed Income domain
  • Experience working with ETL tools
  • Familiarity with Github Copilot, Claude Code
  • Master’s degree in information technology or data science preferred
