About the Role:
The HR Assistant in the Transportation and Warehousing industry plays a crucial role in supporting the human resources department to ensure smooth and efficient HR operations. Minimum Qualifications:

- At least 2-3 year of experience in an administrative or HR support role.
- Basic knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the transportation, logistics, or warehousing industry.
- Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) ADP and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
- Maintain and update employee records in HR databases ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support onboarding activities for new hires, including preparing documentation and facilitating orientation sessions.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate training sessions and assist in tracking employee development and compliance with mandatory certifications.
- Prepare HR reports and assist with payroll processing and benefits administration as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations relevant to the transportation and warehousing industry.
