Maintenance - Trailer at Regency Transportation – Chicopee, Massachusetts

Pay: $35.00-$45.00, based on experience -

General Fleet Mechanic

As a Fleet Mechanic/Technician, you will use your diesel mechanic education to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel tractors. Diesel Mechanics are also responsible for trailers and other equipment that requires preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, modifications, and repairs.

Requirements and Skills:

• Must have own tools.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Tractor / Trailer experience: 3 Years minimum
• Tractor: General Maintenance.
• Trailer: General Maintenance skills
• Basic computer skills for data entry into maintenance software systems (labor tracking, work order, and parts data entry/parts core return)
• Engine: Starters, Alternators, etc.
• Cooling system: Radiator R+R, Coolant Pumps, Engine Fan Clutch’s
• Front end: Tie Rod Ends, Draglink, Kingpins, Alignment
• Suspension: Air bags, valves, Springs, and Hangers
• DPF Maintenance
• Basic ABS diagnosis and repair
• Keep a clean and safe working environment.
• Able to complete full Tractor PM unaided.
• Positive attitude, work in a safe manner, and willingness to
• attendance/punctuality is essential.
• Ability to follow directions and retain proper repair procedures and instructions.
• Good interaction skills with drivers
• Air Brake certification is preferred.
• Welding/Light Fab skills preferred.
• Freightliner Cascadia /Detroit Diesel DD Platform preferred.
