The Maintenance Technician will work independently and alongside other plant personnel to perform maintenance tasks. They will do general cleaning, machine maintenance, and repairs. This is an ideal position for an employee looking to learn and grow in the maintenance field.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform maintenance duties including checking on machines preventative maintenance.
• Repair down machines with the Senior Maintenance Technician
• Perform daily checks of the building ensuring things are in safe and working order.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Sound oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload and schedule.
• Ability to work effectively independently as well as with key coworkers, including department managers, supervisors, operators, quality assurance personnel and contractors.
• The ability to efficiently complete daily tasks and repairs in a timely manner with minimal impact to production schedule. Communicates issues to personnel clearly and completely so appropriate actions may be taken.
• Follows company policies, standards, and specifications while adhering to safety policies and procedures for equipment operation.
• Excellent record keeping, tracking and strong organization skills is also crucial in this role.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• Strong mechanical Aptitude
• 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment or equal experience in a maintenance/building maintenance role

PHYSICAL STANDARDS:

• Ability to withstand prolonged walking and standing and the ability to maneuver amongst various machinery and equipment
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
