At Soar Autism Center, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of children on the autism spectrum. As we strive to innovate and build a better model of care for kids, the role of the Play & Learning Specialist also known as a Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) becomes paramount.

Through our play-based approach, youll help children learn, grow, and thrive every day. Our care model draws from the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a fun and engaging, play-based form of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. By joining our team, youll make a direct impact on childrens lives and contribute to Soars mission-driven, family-centered care model.

• Work one-on-one with children aged 26 in our clinic, using play to teach new skills and support growth

• Implement therapy plans designed by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) using play-based ABA principles

• Encourage social, communication, and learning skills through engaging activities and routines

• Support and partner with families by sharing updates and celebrating progress

• Participate in ongoing training and supervision to grow your skills and maintain RBT certification

• High school diploma, or equivalent, is required

• Strong preference for enrollment in or completion of a degree program (bonus for Child Development, Psychology, or related fields)

• Excitement about working with children; prior experience with kids in any setting (teaching, child care, coaching, etc.) is a plus

• Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certificationwithin first 6 weeks of employment(Soar provides paid training)

  • Note: RBT certification required for CO Springs location

• Reliable transportation to training location and local center; punctuality is essential

• Physical requirements: ability to sit/kneel on the floor, lift up to 50 lbs., and move quickly to support a childs needs

• Comfort using computers and tablets for session notes

• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn

• $21.50 - $28.50/hour starting pay with regular bonus and promotion opportunities

• The initial offer hourly pay will be between $21.50 - $22.75. all staff members are considered every 3 months for a raise or promotion
