Position Title: SMF Welder

Location: Anderson, South Carolina

Responsibilities for Welders

Perform welding operations on metal parts and assemblies to meet quality and production requirements
Set up and operate welding equipment; adjust settings based on material type and thickness
Read and follow work instructions, weld symbols, and/or basic blueprints as required
Inspect finished welds for quality, consistency, and defects; rework as needed
Use grinding and finishing tools to prep and clean parts (as required)
Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all PPE and safety guidelines
Support production flow by communicating issues, material needs, or quality concerns to leadership

Requirements for Welders

MIG welding experience (required)
Prior welding experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to pass a weld test (process and material type determined by SMF)
Ability to pass an interview and meet attendance expectations
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (as needed), stand for long periods, and perform repetitive motions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality

Preferred Qualifications

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment with noise, PPE requirements, and exposure to heat/sparks
Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions throughout the shift
