W J Bachman Mechanical Sheetmetal Co. of FL Inc. is hiring Skilled Mechanical HVAC Laborers to support our commercial HVAC installation teams on large-scale construction projects. This role is essential to keeping projects on schedule and ensuring our skilled tradespeople have the tools, materials, and support needed to deliver high-quality mechanical systems.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• Assist HVAC mechanics and foremen with installation and jobsite support

• Handle materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently

• Perform basic mechanical tasks such as cutting, fastening, sealing, and assembling components

• Support installation of ductwork, piping, and other mechanical systems

• Load, unload, and stage materials as needed for daily operations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite environment

• Follow instructions, project schedules, and safety procedures

• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure workflow efficiency

• Adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times

Qualifications

• Experience: 13 years of experience in commercial construction or mechanical trades preferred

• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong willingness to learn HVAC systems and mechanical installation processes

• Teamwork: Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions

• Certifications: OSHA 10 certification preferred or willingness to obtain

• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record

• A background check will be completed as part of the onboarding process, in compliance with applicable laws

Work Schedule

• Primarily on-site at commercial project locations throughout Nashville, TN and surrounding areas

• Occasional regional travel may be required, with per diem provided
