ILAC International High School in Vancouver is a new and exciting chapter and a part of ILAC Education Group. We are seeking a skilled and experienced high school teacher to join our team and inspire students to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

Classes begin in September 2025 following a short teacher orientation in late August 2025.

Compensation: Starting at $64,000+ annually (based on experience and qualifications)

Responsibilities:

• Bring a student-centered, inquiry based, and collaborative approach to the delivery of the BC Modernized Curriculum. (Grades 10-12)
• Create a positive and supportive culture for learning
• Work as a collaborative across the school to enhance the classroom and co-curricular experience.
• Prepare robust lesson plans, assessments & evaluations per the Growing Success document
• Possess a keen interest in fostering diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice to promote a healthy learning environment.
• Engage in positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.

Qualifications:

• Essential: B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate of Qualification or Independent School teaching certificate.
• Relevant post-secondary education in a related field.
• Experience as a Social Studies and English teacher at the senior level
• Experience as an English as a second language teacher an asset
• Commitment to the craft of teaching, best practices, and standards of professional practice
• A collaborative and energetic approach to teaching
• An awareness of varied learning styles, the importance of core competencies, and the value of First Peoples Principles of Learning
