Job Description
Responsibilities:
This individual will be working at our elevator facility performing critical operational functions to keep the facility running smoothly. This includes loading and unloading trucks and railcars. Other daily responsibilities include maintaining a clean facility and grounds, monitoring equipment to ensure it is in good working condition, making repairs when needed. Must stay current on all safety and training protocols. Provide great customer service and communicate effectively to team members and customers.
Requirements:
Elevator operations:
• Ensure the correct grain goes to proper bins and/or location(s)
• Correctly grade grain(s) or willingness to learn quickly
• Correct use of scale computer and scale operations or willingness to learn
• Be able to obtain accurate bin measurements and grain condition identification
• Be able to load and unload trucks and rail cars; Fort Morgan, Gering, Gurley, Lyman, Potter, Sidney as needed at any facility.
• You may be cross-trained for multiple facilities – if you are reassigned to another location, even for a brief period, we will let you know as soon as possible, if we need to move you to another facility throughout the day we will provide transportation.
Basic facility maintenance:
• Housekeeping
• Small patch repair work
• Grease bearings
• Change oil in gear boxes
• Inspections of legs, drags, augers, and mobile equipment for wear and correct tension
Communication with your Site Lead:
• Safety concerns
• Attendance
• Problems with facilities
• Bin measurements and grain conditions
• Scale ticket issues
Variable hours, typically 7:10am – 4:30pm or until daily tasks are completed
