Love tax strategy? Want to lead a team that thinks like advisors?

Red Bike Advisors is a 100% virtual tax, accounting, and advisory firm. We help healthcare practice owners and growing service businesses go from financially stressed to financially free.

We're hiring a Tax Manager to own a multi-million dollar book of tax business, deliver every job on time and on budget, and keep clients thrilled with the work.

Why planning comes first here

Every return gets filed right and on time. That's the job.

Then comes the part we built this firm around: tax planning. You'll sit down with practice owners, dig into their numbers, and find the opportunities that change what's possible for them. Your Tax Savings Blueprints will shape how they pay themselves, grow their practice, and build wealth for years to come.

If a planning conversation gets your wheels turning faster than a stack of returns, you'll love it here.

What you'll own in year one

• Reviews done within 3 days, returns delivered within 2 weeks

• A Tax Savings Blueprint for every eligible client

• Year-end planning meetings with every applicable client before December 31

• A preparer team you coach to spot planning opportunities on every return

How you'll work

• Fully remote, U.S.-based, flexible schedule with shared core hours

• Reporting directly to the CEO

You'll fit if you

• Hold an active CPA or EA license and have 6+ years in public accounting

• Have led and developed a tax team

• Know individual, corporate, and partnership tax (trust and North Carolina experience a plus)

• Get genuinely excited about the strategy behind the return, and want to teach your team to see it too

• Know when a return is done, and ship it

• Can explain tax to a practice owner in plain English

Pay and benefits

$115K to $130K DOE, plus incentives for referrals and firm benchmarks. Health, dental, and vision options, company-paid life insurance, 401(k) with match, flexible time off, paid holidays including the week between Christmas and New Year's, CPE and licenses covered, and a full home office setup.

Our process is thorough and transparent. Finalists will arrange reference calls with their former managers, so come ready to connect us.
