The position: We are looking for a highly organized individual who is detail oriented and able to work independently. This is a full-time position.

Requirements: The Specialty Gas Technician is responsible for safe and accurate handling, testing, recordkeeping and analysis of specialized gases, in a laboratory setting. This role is tasked with ensuring gas purity, operating production equipment, as well as maintaining and troubleshooting gas delivery systems.

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math(algebra) abilities
• Must be able to process detailed-oriented tasks with high reliability.
• Intermediate computer knowledge and experience; use of Microsoft office products
• Must be able to use/wear required personal protective equipment
• Cylinder Filler level 3

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Previous cylinder sorting and filling experience
• Some college with chemistry and math background
• Ability to use the following, lab analyzers, Weldcoa automated blend cell equipment, manual gas blending equipment

Responsibilities:

• Safety Compliance: Adheres to safety regulations and procedures for handling, filling and storing specialty gases in compliance with local, state and federal law.
• Gas Purity & Quality: Ensuring specialty gases meet specific purity and quality standards. Maintaining ISO 17025 and Purity Plus standards.
• Blending and Production: Fill high-pressure pure, mixed gases, specialty gases and liquid cylinders. Prepare product for shipment.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Performing scheduled maintenance of gas delivery systems. Identify and address issues with gas delivery systems and equipment as necessary.
• Documentation & Recordkeeping: Maintaining accurate records of gas inventory, testing results, system maintenance, training and quality control.
• Inventory Management: Maintain gas cylinder inventory of raw materials and base mixed product. Ensuring proper storage and handling.
• Training & Development: Participate in ongoing training programs and CI projects to stay current with industrial standards and best practices.
