Ready to Make an EMpact?
Emergent Method’s communication consultants work hand-in-hand with organizations to navigate consequential moments, explain complex ideas, and connect decisions directly to the people and communities they impact.

We’re looking for a strong writer and proactive problem solver who is excited to work on ambitious projects with well-known clients, committed to delivering transformative results, and ready to take ownership of a dynamic range of work — whether it’s shaping a public outreach campaign, developing executive messaging, preparing for a major announcement, or turning a complicated issue into a clear story.

The Work You Can Do:
As a communication consultant, you’ll work alongside experienced consultants to contribute directly to projects that call for clear thinking and excellent execution across strategic communication, public relations, marketing, stakeholder engagement, and public outreach initiatives.

You Work May Include:

• Writing and editing press releases, executive messages, web copy, social content, outreach materials, and other client deliverables
• Helping develop communication plans and campaigns grounded in client goals and audience needs
• Researching unfamiliar industries and issues, then making complex information understandable and compelling
• Supporting meetings, engagement activities, announcements, and communication across print, digital, and in-person channels
• Managing your pieces of a project: tracking deadlines, coordinating with teammates and clients, incorporating feedback, and seeing work through to delivery
• Spotting opportunities to improve an idea, solve a problem, or make a deliverable stronger

The Teammate We're Looking For:

• Cares about strong, quality writing
• Seeks out challenges and opportunities to address them
• Holds work to high standards while challenging themselves to continue learning and improving
• Takes initiative, follows through, and pays attention to the details
• Has the ability to move between projects and priorities without losing sight of deadlines
• Asks thoughtful questions, welcomes feedback, and enjoys working with a team
• Is willing to roll up their sleeves on any task — ranging from developing the big picture to getting the details right
• Wants to build trust with clients by being prepared, responsive, and dependable
• Is based in Baton Rouge, La.
