We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Planner at our Limerick, PA facility.

General Description:

Assist in organizing production according to demand and quality standards. Ensure orders are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner, ensuring the timely and cost-efficient flow of our production operations.

Reports to: Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the production workflow of daily orders
• In conjunction with the Operations manager, plan and prioritize operations to ensure on-time order processing.
• Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand, coordinating with the plant manager to ensure needs are met.
• Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time – escalate potentially late orders to plant manager for remediation.
• Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
• Communicate issues as they arise with the sales team.
• Respond to sales’ requests for order status.
• Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.).
• Prepare and submit status and performance reports
• Keep paperwork organized
• Collaborate with quality control, warehouse and other staff

Other Duties:

• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory.
• Manage cycle counting.
• Manage monthly scrap processes.

Requirements and Skills:

• Ability to create accountability and lead by example.
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
• Familiarity with metal industry
• Mechanical aptitude and technical expertise.
• Computer literacy with ERP systems and the Microsoft suite
• Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, and inventory processes.

Qualifications:

• Prior scheduling or planning experience in a production environment preferred, but not required.
• Understanding of OSHA regulations for general industry.
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 preferred, but not required
