About This Position
CDL Driver - Special Needs Transportation
Company Overview
All Pro All Services is dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for children with special needs. We are currently seeking caring, patient individuals to join our team as Special Needs Transportation Drivers.
Position Summary
As a Driver for our Special Needs Transportation services, you will be responsible for safely transporting children with special needs to and from schools. This rewarding position requires someone who is detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional service to children who rely on our transportation to access their education.
Key Responsibilities
• Safely operate vehicles equipped for special needs transportation, adhering to all
traffic laws and company safety protocols
• Transport children with special needs according to established routes and
schedules
• Assist children with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including proper use of
wheelchair lifts, harnesses, and safety equipment
• Create a positive, supportive environment for all passengers during transport
• Monitor and respond appropriately to children's behavior and needs while en route
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain accurate records including trip logs, attendance sheets, and incident
reports
• Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, or
concerns
• Work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and school staff
• Uphold strict confidentiality standards regarding student information
Qualifications
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P)
endorsements
• Clean driving record with no major violations
• Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs (preferred)
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional patience, empathy, and attention to detail
• Reliable transportation to report to work location
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain consistent schedules
Preferred Experience
• Previous student transportation experience
• Background in caregiving, education, or special education support
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques
• Experience with special needs equipment and accommodations
Schedule
• Monday-Friday, split shifts (morning and afternoon routes)]
