Job Description
Portland Yacht Services is seeking a Marine Detailer / Bottom Paint Technician to join our Detail Shop.
Our Detail Shop is responsible for vessel cleaning and appearance, professional detailing, surface care, and bottom preparation and painting. Previous experience is helpful, but we are willing to train dependable candidates with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Wash and clean vessel exteriors
- Perform interior cleaning and detailing
- Compound, polish, and wax fiberglass and painted surfaces
- Clean and polish stainless steel, glass, and other marine surfaces
- Prepare vessel bottoms for painting
- Sand and prepare bottom surfaces as required
- Apply antifouling bottom paint
- Perform touch-ups and related finish work
- Prepare vessels for launch and customer pickup
- Perform seasonal vessel cleaning and preparation
- Protect vessels and surrounding areas during sanding, painting, and detailing
- Maintain detailing and painting tools, supplies, and equipment
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow applicable safety and environmental procedures

Requirements:Marine or automotive detailing, buffing, polishing, painting, or surface-preparation experience is helpful but not required.
