Job Description
Office Clerk – Physical Therapy Department FULL-TIME MONDAY - FRIDAY 8AM TO 4:30 PM
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Office Clerk to join our Physical Therapy Department at our hospital. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care and support the smooth operation of our healthcare services. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, professional, and capable of managing administrative tasks efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors, providing excellent customer service and assistance
- Schedule and confirm appointments for physical therapy sessions
- Maintain and update patient records accurately in the electronic health record system
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence related to the department
- Manage office supplies and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the department
- Assist with preparing documentation, reports, and other administrative tasks
- Coordinate communication between patients, therapists, and other hospital departments
- Fill in for Registration Clerk, as needed
and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional administrative or medical office training preferred
- Proven experience in an office or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with electronic health records systems
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
