Job Description
SeaView Community Services is seeking a dependable and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support adults receiving services in our Adult Mental Health Residential Program. The BHT provides direct support, supervision, skill-building, and encouragement to residents as they work toward greater stability, independence, and recovery. SeaView’s Adult Mental Health Residential Facility is a small, 7-bed program located in a peaceful wooded setting above the lagoon in Seward. The home-like environment provides adults experiencing mental health challenges with a safe, structured, and supportive place to build stability, strengthen daily living skills, and work toward greater independence. Staff provide 24-hour support in a setting that emphasizes recovery, wellness, community connection, and individualized care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Provide direct supervision and support to residents in a safe, structured environment.
• Assist residents with daily living skills, routines, community activities, and treatment goals.
• Build professional, supportive relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
• Observe and report changes in resident behavior, functioning, or safety concerns.
• Support residents during periods of emotional distress using trauma-informed and de-escalation approaches.
• Assist with transportation, activities, and medication-related processes as assigned and trained.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic residential environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SCHEDULE
Residential services operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Positions may include day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Requirements:• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively with adults experiencing behavioral health challenges.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Ability to complete required documentation and use basic computer systems.
• Ability to successfully complete required background checks and training.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet SeaView driving requirements.
