Admissions Associate for the Westchester Campuses

The Admissions Associate serves as a key member of the Admissions team, supporting the recruitment, enrollment, and onboarding of prospective families for both the Westchester Lower School (WLS) and Westchester Middle School (WMS). This individual provides exceptional customer service throughout the admissions process, manages applicant records, coordinates admissions events, and collaborates with faculty and staff to ensure a welcoming and efficient admissions experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective families inquiring about admissions to the Westchester Lower School and Westchester Middle School.
• Respond promptly and professionally to phone calls, emails, and online inquiries, providing accurate information about the school's programs, admissions process, and community.
• Conduct introductory conversations with prospective families to explain the admissions timeline, application requirements, evaluation process, and enrollment procedures.
• Guide prospective families through each stage of the admissions process, ensuring timely completion of required forms, documentation, and application materials using the Veracross student information system.
• Monitor applicant files to ensure all required materials are received and communicate with families regarding outstanding requirements and upcoming deadlines.
• Organize, schedule, and participate in admissions events, including Information Sessions, Campus Tours, Parent Panel discussions, New Family Welcome events, and other recruitment initiatives at the Westchester campuses.
• Prepare admissions materials, presentations, name badges, signage, and event packets to ensure successful execution of admissions programs.
• Represent The Windward School professionally during admissions events, fostering positive relationships with prospective families and community partners.
• Maintain accurate applicant records and communications within Veracross, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
• Schedule and participate in admissions committee and file review meetings, documenting discussion notes and admissions decisions as appropriate.
• Assist with new family onboarding and transition activities to ensure a positive enrollment experience.
• Maintain current knowledge of The Windward School's educational philosophy, mission, academic programs, and student profile in order to effectively communicate the school's value to prospective families.
• Perform additional admissions and administrative duties as assigned to support the goals of the Admissions Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Demonstrated experience working with the Veracross student information system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of The Windward School's mission, educational program, and student profile.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with families, students, faculty, and administrators.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a welcoming, professional, and service-oriented approach.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
