Position Summary |
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the property's physical condition meets agency standards and for managing and responding to resident maintenance issues and repairs. The mechanic performs a variety of skilled work in the maintenance, repair, alteration, and installation of appliances, equipment, and fixtures in several of the building trades, including heating and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, and construction of Housing Authority facilities, with no direct supervisory responsibilities. |

Minimum Qualifications |

Licenses and Certifications A Valid Nevada Driver’s License, or the ability to obtain one HVAC Certification required, EPA Universal Type I and II required OSHA 10-Required OSHA 30-Preferred Physical Ability: This job requires continuous talking or hearing; continuous walking; continuous reaching with hands and arms; frequent standing; frequent climbing or balancing; frequent gripping or feeling with hands; and frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. It is frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds. |
