Seasonal Pool & Spa Maintenance Technician (April – October)

Pay: $16-19 per hour depending on experience – with spot bonus opportunity

About the Role:

Ultra Modern Pool & Patio is seeking a Seasonal Pool & Spa Maintenance Technician to service residential and commercial customers throughout the Wichita area from April through October.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and managing their own service route while delivering excellent customer service. Technicians are responsible for maintaining water quality, keeping pools and spas clean, and ensuring equipment is functioning properly.

A Day in the Life:

Each day begins by preparing your service vehicle and reviewing your scheduled service route. You will travel to residential and commercial properties throughout the Wichita area performing weekly pool and spa maintenance.

Typical daily tasks include:
• Cleaning pools and spas
• Testing and balancing water chemistry
• Inspecting pumps, filters, heaters, and other equipment
• Communicating with customers about their pool or spa
• Reporting equipment issues or repair needs

You will work independently while staying connected with the service team to ensure every customer receives excellent service.

Responsibilities:

Pool & Spa Maintenance
• Perform weekly pool and spa cleanings for residential and commercial customers
• Test and balance water chemistry and apply appropriate chemical treatments
• Remove debris, brush surfaces, and vacuum pools and spas
• Maintain overall cleanliness and appearance of pools and surrounding equipment areas

Equipment Monitoring & System Checks
• Inspect and monitor pumps, filters, heaters, and circulation systems
• Identify potential equipment issues and report service needs
• Ensure pools and spas are operating safely and efficiently

Route Management & Customer Service
• Maintain an organized and efficient weekly service route
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding service visits and recommendations
• Represent Ultra Modern Pool & Patio with a positive and professional attitude
• Document service visits and report issues to the service department

Growth into Technical Service
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of pool and spa equipment
• Support service technicians with repairs when needed
• Develop skills in spa repairs, automatic cover work, and equipment maintenance over time

Qualifications:

• Must be 20 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a service route
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Previous pool or spa service experience preferred but not required (training available)

Compensation:

Hourly Pay Range: $16 – $19 per hour depending on experience.

Work Schedule:

• Seasonal Position: April – October
• Full-time hours during the service season
• Primarily daytime schedule
• Typical schedule may include four 10-hour shifts or similar route scheduling

Work Location:

In-person service routes throughout the Wichita, Kansas area.
