Milwaukee Academy of Science (MAS) is looking for a dedicated Teacher to join our team and help prepare scholars for success beyond high school. Founded in 2000, Milwaukee Academy of Science is a K4–12th grade independent charter school located in downtown Milwaukee, serving nearly 1,000 scholars. At MAS, we believe in setting high expectations for every student while recognizing and celebrating their individual backgrounds, experiences, and strengths.

As a Teacher, you will play a critical role in preparing scholars for post-secondary success. You will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, rigorous curriculum using culturally responsive instructional strategies.
  
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of students.
  
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction.
  
• Analyze student data and develop interventions to support student growth.
  
• Communicate regularly with students, families, staff, and administration regarding student progress.
  
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, resource teachers, student service personnel, administrators, and other school staff.
  
• Work with families and school teams to develop strategies that improve student achievement.
  
• Participate in curriculum development, data analysis, professional development planning, and other school committees.
  
• Continue to develop professionally through staff development, coursework, and other learning opportunities.
  
• Support the educational philosophy and mission of Milwaukee Academy of Science.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal or other administrators.
  

We’re looking for educators who are passionate about student success and committed to creating a positive, inclusive, and academically challenging classroom environment.

Required Qualification:

• Valid Wisconsin Teaching Certification.
  

• First-Year Teachers: 198-day contract
  
• Returning Teachers: 195-day contract
