About This Position
(1) Full-Time

Distinguishing Career Factors:
This is the first step in a banded series for EGD/Sports Wagering Technicians. This is an entry-level position that is primarily used to provide basic technical assistance in regards to our machines/kiosks. Incumbents who wish to promote to the second step of the banded series must demonstrate advanced knowledge of EGD/Sports Wagering Technician I duties, be exposed to adequate on-the-job training in logs, retention requirements, be able to conduct preventative maintenance, cleaning and scheduled inspections, and meet the minimum requirements of the Cook II position.
Summary:
Responsible for the installation and maintenance of machines and equipment; provides entry-level technical assistance and advice to EGD/Sports Wagering administrative team members; performs duties in a guest service friendly, efficient and profitable manner that promotes superior team member, guest and vendor relations.
Essential Functions:
• Installs machines, equipment, and sports betting kiosks from ground zero to the final product, including: unloading machines/kiosks from the delivery trucks, installing machine stands, seating, locks, hardware, accessories, harnessing, etc.
• Installs all applicable parts and software on machines, equipment, and sports betting kiosks which may include, but is not limited to player tracking units, data collection units, card readers, displays and all necessary harnessing, home runs and jumpers.
• Installs all sign canopies, graphics boards, displays, harnessing, power supplies and progressive controllers for machines and sports betting kiosks.
• Repairs electrical and mechanical problems with equipment and stock parts, including: diagnosing issues, using trouble-shooting techniques and restoring machines and sports betting kiosks to full proper working order.
• Performs conversions of game types, hold percentages and denomination changes.
• Accesses drop doors as necessary and does simulated drops when requested.
• Completes door log cards, activity reports, and any other activities that are necessary.
• Notifies appropriate team members in the event of a scheduled or unscheduled network/system down.
• Knowledge of all current and upcoming promotions and assists with marketing efforts as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of work station, which includes, but is not limited to, machines, the MT podium, EGD/Sports Wagering office, etc.
• Complies with all applicable laws, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Provides a high standard of professionalism and guest service.
• Must maintain confidentiality.
• Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):
• Must be at least 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Ability to understand, speak, communicate and read the English language.
• Must successfully complete Title 31 Banking Secrecy Act training.
• Must be computer literate with proficiency in windows-based programs and knowledge to operate general office equipment, software and databases along with other electronic devices.
• Ability to work closely, productively, and professionally with other individuals in a team environment or on an individual basis to fulfill duties/assignments.
• Ability to comply with all applicable laws, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Ability to analyze data from multiple information ports by comparing and contrasting data to draw a conclusion or to identify trends.
• Ability to be given verbal and written instruction and apply the instruction accurately.
• Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and non-verbal format while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language.
• Ability to take initiative and be proactive in the duties of the position.
• Ability to comprehend complex issues.
• Ability to work various shifts including evenings, holidays, weekends, and overtime.
• Must possess a current and valid Washington State Driver’s License.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
• Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.
• Ability to frequently sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to frequently walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to frequently bend, squat and/or reach.
• Ability to problem solve while using a reasonable balance of cause/effect, process of elimination, comparing/contrasting, technical knowledge, experience, and trends.
• Sufficient visual acuity to write, recognize printed materials, computer screen, and notice non-verbal behavior.
• Speech and hearing ability to project voice to small and large audiences, carry on telephone/radio conversations, hear and grasp verbal communications and equipment prompts.
• Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, including variations in temperature and precipitation.
• Frequently works near or around electricity.
• Frequently works near or around mechanical moving parts.
• Frequently exposed to vibration.
• Frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Frequently exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment.
• Frequently exposed to tobacco smoke.
• Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
• Ability to drive in adverse weather conditions.
Banded Series Training Demands:
Below are specific knowledge, skills, and abilities related to the EGD/Sports Wagering Technician II position. Although, it is not a complete list, the list is a general guideline of expectations and demands related to the minimum requirements of the EGD/Sports Wagering Technician II position in the banded series. Fulfilling all of the expectations, that are outlined below, does not guarantee a promotion in the banded series. In the event the promotion to EGD/Sports Wagering Technician II is granted, incumbent may work as an EGD/Sports Wagering Technician I depending on business needs but will be compensated at the EGD/Sports Wagering Technician II wage regardless of duties/assignments. These demands may change with or without notice. An incumbent who chooses to train for the next step of the banded series must be able to meet the requirements outlined in the list below.
• Two (2) years’ experience as an EGD/Sports Wagering Technician I.
• Pass EGD/Sports Wagering Technician II test with 80% or better.
• Demonstrated knowledge of MEAL’s and other logs and the retention requirements for each.
• Successful experience providing regular preventative maintenance, cleaning, and scheduled inspections.
• Sufficient knowledge to provide training on new aspects of the machines and equipment.
