Canopy Village is seeking a passionate and organized Seasonal Summer Program Coordinator to lead and support a dynamic summer initiative serving at-risk youth. This position plays a vital role in developing and overseeing youth programming, providing individualized case management, and fostering strong community partnerships to ensure participants’ social, emotional, and educational growth.

Program Coordination

• Plan, implement, and oversee daily program activities focused on recreation, education, life skills, and personal development.
• Supervise and support program staff, interns, and volunteers.
• Coordinate logistics including scheduling, transportation, meals, and field trips.
• Monitor program effectiveness and ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants.
• Maintain accurate attendance records, incident reports, and program documentation.

Case Management

• Conduct intake assessments and develop individual service plans for participating youth.
• Provide one-on-one support, mentorship, and referrals to appropriate services (mental health, housing, academic support, etc.).
• Collaborate with families, schools, and partner agencies to support each youth’s goals.
• Maintain confidential and accurate case notes and ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.

Community Outreach & Engagement

• Build and maintain partnerships with local organizations, service providers, and community stakeholders.
• Promote the program to potential participants, families, and referral sources.
• Coordinate guest speakers, workshops, and enrichment opportunities with community partners.
• Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and outreach initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (in progress or finalized) in Social Work, Education, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
• Experience working with youth, preferably in underserved or high-risk populations.
• Experience in case management and familiarity with trauma-informed practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs.
• Background check and valid driver’s license will be required

Working Conditions:

• Part-time seasonal position, 20 hours per week, grant funded by Coeur d’Alene Rotary Foundation; must be available Monday–Friday with occasional evenings or weekends. Preferred hours are 2-6pm.
• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in a variety of community and field settings.
• Moderate physical activity including walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Licensures/Certifications:

• First Aid/CPR certified; agency will provide
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• DHW Criminal Fingerprinting and Background Enhanced Certification
• Clearance with the National Sex Offender Registry
• Drug testing
