The Department of Mathematics in the College of Arts and Sciences at Lehigh University seeks a motivated and talented Postdoctoral Research Associate to contribute to our research initiatives and academic programs. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with Professor Yue Yu in the field of Applied/Computational Mathematics. Research topics of interest include numerical methods for scientific machine learning and AI, and their applications to various science and engineering disciplines. This position is intended for new or recent Ph.D. in Applied/Computational Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, or Computational Science, or related disciplines. Position Number: RC3180 Anticipated Salary: $61,010 - Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, including benefits. Key Responsibilities:

Design, execute, and analyze experiments, contributing to the overall goals of the research group.
Prepare and publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present results at conferences.
Assist in the mentorship of graduate and undergraduate students, providing guidance on experimental techniques, data analysis, and project development.
Contribute to grant writing, including assisting in the development of proposals and identifying funding opportunities.
Participate in departmental seminars, workshops, and other events, engaging with the academic community.
Contribute to teaching responsibilities, including delivering lectures, leading lab sessions, and supporting curriculum development (subject to department needs and funding agency requirements).
