This role supports environmental, engineering, and construction projects by providingaccuratetest and inspection data,maintainingequipment, and preparing detailed reports. The technician will work collaboratively with engineering staff, contractors, and clients to ensure quality and safety on construction sites.We invite you to forge ahead with us.

What you will do:

• Perform field tests according to prescribed procedures and standards.
• Collect soil and concrete samples, prepare samples for testing, record data, and prepare summary reports.
• Use specialized equipment and apparatus to prepare reports and technical data.
• Operate computer systems and peripheral equipment;maintainresults log.
• Set up,maintain, and calibrate equipment.
• Confer with Engineering staff on test efforts.
• Inspect construction activities on heavy highway construction projects.
• Monitor work performed by contractors or vendors.
• Ensure materials used on projectsmeetspecifications.
• Inspect common, unclassified and roadway excavation, embankment, borrow pits, and removal, storage, and placement of topsoil.
• Completeappropriate formsand paperwork for construction activities completed each day.
• Maintain considerable contact with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Work with other task team members and leaders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Moves a case weighing up to 95 pounds.
• Pushesup to 250 pounds in a wheelbarrow.
• Remains in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Operatestools requiring fine motor skills.
• Traverses'construction sites having uneven terrain, slopes, confined spaces, or reinforced trenches.
• Positions selfto access tools and materials in various locations.
• Conducts visual assessments of construction quality and safety.

What you will bring:

• Experience and/or certifications related to construction inspection or construction materials testing preferred but notrequired.
• Possession of a valid drivers license with acleandriving record and the ability tooperatea motor vehicleisrequired.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Must pass the following exam within60 daysof employment (if not currently held): Nuclear Density Safety Course.
• Travel may berequired.
• Reliable transportation required and the ability to travel daily within assigned territory.
• Fulltime position with standard business hours; occasional night work or overtime may berequiredbased on project deadlines.
• Must be able to work onsite at a WSB office, as needed, as required by the project, client, or hiring manager.
• Primarily field-based role must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
