LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Archbold Living Cairo

Position Description

The LPN works under and functions within the LPN Scope of Practice. The LPN is responsible for providing direct resident care. This includes age-appropriate interventions that meet physical, emotional, developmental, psychosocial and educational needs. The LPN is responsible for coordination and delivery of high-quality care.

Responsibilities and Purpose

• Direct resident care
• Assess and assist with managing patient’s total needs following physician orders and utilization of nursing process
• Performs routine nursing procedures to meet the need of the resident
• Coordinates care and services with all team members
• Responsible for accurate completion of required documentation within established timeframe.
• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate application of regulatory guidelines
• Responsible for attending continuing education and in-services as directed and needed
• Responsible for any other responsibilities assigned per facility along with above stated

Qualifications/Experience:

• Graduate of a school of Practical Nursing.
• Licensed in the State of Georgia as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support.
• Entry level, experience preferred and long-term care experience a plus.

Physical Demands:

Must be in good physical and mental health.

Supervises:

Care of a group of residents and nursing personnel assigned to them.

Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, Charge Nurse
