About the Company
Our client is a U.S.-based manufacturing company specializing in point-of-purchase displays and custom retail fixtures.
The company combines design, technical production, and manufacturing to transform creative concepts into functional, production-ready solutions for retail environments. The team works in a hands-on environment where design accuracy, production feasibility, visual quality, and collaboration between design and fabrication are essential.
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Design Production Specialist to prepare customer-supplied designs for final production in both 2D and 3D formats.
This role combines CAD modeling in SolidWorks with artwork preparation in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. You will ensure technical drawings, CAD models, and artwork files are accurate, properly documented, and ready for manufacturing while collaborating with production staff from design preparation through fabrication and assembly.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with a background in Industrial Design, CAD Design, Production Art, Prepress, or a related discipline who enjoys turning creative designs into production-ready files.
Why This Opportunity?
You'll combine CAD, industrial design, graphic production, and manufacturing while working on real-world physical products and custom retail environments. The role provides direct exposure to fabrication and assembly processes and an opportunity to further develop your SolidWorks and production-focused design expertise.
What You'll Do
CAD & Technical Design

• Prepare and modify customer-supplied designs for production.
• Create and update 2D and 3D CAD files using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Review technical drawings for accuracy and production readiness.
• Make design adjustments based on manufacturing requirements and production feedback.
• Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation.

Artwork & Production Files

• Prepare and adjust artwork using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Review graphics and artwork to ensure files are production-ready.
• Adjust layouts, dimensions, and production files as needed.
• Maintain consistency between artwork and technical drawings.

Production Support & Documentation

• Collaborate with production staff throughout fabrication and assembly.
• Respond to production feedback and make necessary design or artwork revisions.
• Ensure design files contain the information required for successful manufacturing.
• Manage multiple CAD, artwork, and production files while maintaining accurate version control and documentation.
• Support Bills of Materials (BOMs) when applicable.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software.
• Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for artwork preparation and adjustments.
• Background in Industrial Design, CAD Design, Production Art, Prepress, or a related field, through formal education or equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to work with both 2D and 3D design files.
• Strong attention to detail across technical drawings and graphic files.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files, revisions, and documentation.
• B2+/C1 English proficiency with strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with U.S.-based team members.
• Ability to communicate across departments and implement production feedback.
• Flexible, dependable, and self-directed in a small, fast-paced remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with retail displays, point-of-purchase displays, store fixtures, merchandising systems, or branded environments.
• Experience creating or organizing Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Previous experience as an Industrial Designer, Product Designer, CAD Designer, Prepress Technician, or Production Artist.
• Interest in continuing to develop advanced SolidWorks skills.

How Success Is Measured

• CAD models, drawings, and artwork files are consistently accurate and production-ready.
• Customer designs are successfully translated into files that can be fabricated and assembled.
• Technical drawings and graphics remain aligned throughout production.
• Files, revisions, and documentation are organized and easy for production teams to use.
• Production feedback and design changes are addressed accurately and efficiently.
• Multiple projects are managed without sacrificing quality or attention to detail.
• Communication with U.S.-based team members is clear and professional.

Why Join Us?

• $8.00 – $15.00 USD/hour.
• 100% remote opportunity from Latin America.
• Work on real-world physical products and custom retail environments.
• Combine CAD, industrial design, graphic production, and manufacturing in one role.
• Collaborate directly with professionals involved in fabrication and assembly.
• Develop deeper expertise in SolidWorks and production-focused design.

Important Notes
This is a production-focused design role, not a UX/UI or digital product design position. Candidates must have practical experience with CAD software and Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop and be comfortable working with both technical drawings and graphic/artwork files.
Experience with retail displays, store fixtures, or physical product manufacturing is highly valuable.
This is a remote/telecommute position.
