Position Overview

The Human Resources Manager serves as a strategic partner to leadership, responsible for driving people initiatives that strengthen culture, enhance employee engagement, and support organizational performance. This role plays a critical part in building a high-performing, values-driven environment by aligning HR practices with business objectives and fostering a workplace where employees feel supported, accountable, and empowered to make a difference.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that align with business goals and reinforce Ethos’s values and culture
• Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and leadership development
• Lead employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, action planning, recognition programs, and culture-building efforts
• Coach and develop leaders to strengthen accountability, teamwork, and effective people management
• Oversee full-cycle talent acquisition and onboarding to ensure a strong candidate and new hire experience
• Manage employee relations matters, including investigations and conflict resolution, with professionalism, consistency, and integrity
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state employment laws, including ADAAA, FMLA, EEO, and FLSA
• Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and performance improvement plans
• Drive training and development initiatives focused on leadership, communication, compliance, and continuous improvement
• Maintain HR metrics and reporting to inform decision-making and improve organizational outcomes
• Support compensation, benefits administration, and payroll processes in coordination with internal and external partners
• Partner on organizational change initiatives, ensuring alignment, communication, and successful adoption
• Proven ability to build and sustain a high-engagement, values-driven culture in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices, with a commitment to accountability and ethical decision-making
• Demonstrated success in coaching and developing leaders across multiple levels of an organization
• Experience managing complex employee relations issues while maintaining a fair and consistent approach
• Ability to design and execute initiatives that improve engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• HR certification preferred (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR)
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a multi-site, multi-state environment
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and managing employee relations matters
• Strong background in organizational development and employee engagement strategies
