Job Summary
Provides routine treatment and care of patients with respiratory insufficiencies under the supervision of a Respiratory Therapist. Job Responsibilities
- Delivers routine therapy per plan of care.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Educates the patient and family about the illness and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.
- High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher required upon hire
- No experience required
- Respiratory - Student license through the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care (KBRC) required within 30 days of employment in this position AND
- BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position
- Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
- Works under minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
