About the Role
Lakes Region VNA is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Fundraiser / Development Associate to support and grow our fundraising efforts. This role will lead donor engagement, fundraising events, grants, and community partnerships that directly support patient care and mission sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage fundraising activities including annual appeals, NH gives, individual giving, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grants, and special events
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and community partners
- Build strong relationships with donors, board members, volunteers, and community stakeholders
- Research and manage grant opportunities; prepare applications and reports
- Coordinate and attend fundraising events and community outreach activities
- Maintain accurate donor records and prepare fundraising reports
- Collaborate with leadership to align fundraising strategies with organizational goals
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in fundraising, nonprofit management, communications, or related field
- 3+ years of fundraising or development experience
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency with donor databases and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or community-based organizations
- Grant writing experience
- Familiarity with the Lakes Region community
Skills
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software.
- Understanding of Medicare Conditions of Participation (OASIS/HOPE experience a plus, or willingness to learn).
- Compassion, empathy, adaptability, and professionalism in emotionally sensitive situations.
Working Conditions
This is a traveling position; reliable transportation is required for varied weather conditions.
- Occasional evenings/weekends for events
- Local travel within the Lakes Region
- Combination of office, remote, and community-based work
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods.
- Adequate vision and hearing to perform required duties.
