About This Position
Manages, supervises, and oversees the club’s Food & Beverage service operations to provide the highest standards of excellence for member and guest enjoyment and related services to meet the needs of the members in a manner consistent with club’s mission and philosophy. Ensures proper communication between departments, maintains excellent relationships with suppliers and keeps members satisfied and well-informed. Assist in the start-up of all Club waterfront, trail, and youth activities. Oversee facilities maintenance and housekeeping of all member-facing amenities and buildings. Complete all other appropriate assignments made by the General Manager.

Essential Functions
- F&B Service Operations
- In conjunction with the Director of Culinary, develop an annual operating budget for each of the department’s revenue outlets including revenue projections, service labor templates, event costing, and related operational expenses.
- Ensure that effective orientation and training for new staff and professional development activities for experienced staff are planned and implemented.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor all standard operating procedures are in place and consistently achieved.
- Forecast the long-range staffing needs of the department and future amenities.
- Ensure that all legal requirements are consistently adhered to including wage and hour and federal, state and/or local laws pertaining to alcoholic beverages.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for food and beverage department for members, guests, and staff.
- Consult with the Director of Culinary and other applicable club directors and managers daily to help assure the highest level of member satisfaction at targeted costs are achieved.
- Address member and guest complaints and advise the Director of Culinary &/or General Manager about appropriate corrective actions taken.
- Responsible for the proper accounting and reconciliation of the POS (Point of Sale systems), department revenues and expenses.
- Maintain the Club’s reservation system, mobile app, and applicable procedures.
- Audit and approve weekly payroll.
- Consistently training and advocating handling procedures to insure minimal China/glassware breakage and food & beverage waste.
- Monitor employee dress codes according to policies and procedures.
- Greet guests and oversee actual service on a daily basis.
- Beverage Program
- Development and promote the Club’s beverage program including wine lists, bottle/glass wine sales promotional programs, cocktail menus and spirits selections, and draft/canned/bottled beer offerings.
- Approve all product invoices before submitting them to the Club’s accounting department.
- Manage physical inventory verification and provide updated information to the Club’s accounting department.
- Review new techniques for beverage preparation and presentation in a manner and variety to maximize member and guests’ satisfaction and to achieve targeted beverage costs.
- Monitor purchasing and receiving procedures for products and supplies to ensure proper quantity, quality and price for all purchases.
- Events & Marketing
- With the membership coordinator, promote, advertise, and market the club’s special events to all members.
- Help member clients arrange private events and other social functions in accordance with Club rules & regulations.
- Coordinate event planning and procedures with Director of Culinary, Membership Coordinator, Club’s marketing team, and other departmental leadership and staff; arrange for printing of menus, vendor coordination, and other special requests.
- Assist with planning and approving external and internal marketing of all club events, offerings, and activities
- Watersport, Trails, and Youth Activities
- Activate and supervise the physical operation of the waterfront activities and equipment.
- Oversee routine maintenance and repair of Club docks, dock areas, and Club-owned boats.
- Schedule boat captains to operate Club-owned boats for special Club events.
- Activate and supervise the physical operation of all trail activities and equipment, ensuring that trails are maintained through routine observation.

- Maintain appearance, upkeep and cleanliness of all Club’s front-of-the house facing facilities and equipment.
- Inspect to ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventive maintenance and other standards are consistently met.
- Supervise the remodeling, refurbishment, and other building design enhancements in conjunction with the General Manager.
- Working with Human Resources, maintain and implement the Club’s Employee Safety Program including leading any future Safety Committee.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university with a focus in Business and/or Hospitality Management and/or equivalent experience in a related hospitality environment.
- Eight years of food & beverage experience, showing progressive responsibility in a high-end golf club, resort, hotel, and/or similar service/hospitality environment.
- Strong work ethic and proven ability to work within a team environment.
- Demonstrated strong organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to various situations/needs quickly.
- Demonstrated strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with an engaging personality.
- Proficiency with computer programs such as the Microsoft Office suite and point-of-sale systems.
