The Assistant Kitchen Manager at Goop Kitchen will be responsible for overseeing the daily culinary operations of the kitchen, ensuring the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes in line with our clean, health-conscious standards. This position will work closely with the Sr. Director of Kitchen Operations, Area CDC, and kitchen staff to maintain the integrity of our menu, drive innovation in our offerings, and support Goop Kitchen’s mission of promoting nutritious, flavorful, and sustainable eating.

• Lead daily Kitchen operations and uphold Goop Kitchen’s culinary standards
• Train, coach, and develop a high-performing kitchen team
• Ensure recipe adherence, portion control, and consistent execution
• Maintain Health Department compliance, HACCP standards, and strict sanitation protocols
• Manage food & labor costs with a systems-driven approach
• Drive a culture of “Detect, Fix, Prevent” and continuous improvement
• Assist with ordering, invoices, weekly inventory and end of week financial reports

• Experience as a Assistant Kitchen Manager, Shift Lead or, BOH leader in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with SOP, procedures, and system implementation
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Computer Savvy
• Highly organized, effective in a new restaurant opening environment
• Passion for sustainability and ingredient integrity
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Based in San Jose area
