About This Position
SUMMARY
To assist the Store Director in establishing and maintaining genuine customer service, oversees and is accountable for the operation of their store ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandising, inventory control, expense control, human resources management and managing operating costs and shrink.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivers superior guest service and ensure absolute customer satisfaction Assists with analyzing and measuring business trends; developing and implementing plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.Assists with controlling shrink expenses and payroll.Ensures appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations; signing and assortment in all departments; ensure selling floor is adequately stocked.Is aware of competition activities and reports results; shares information with supervisor and makes appropriate price recommendations.Assists in reviewing department/store trends and recommend and initiate changes for maximizing goals and objectives.Ensures compliance with all laws, policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk through and audits, etc. Act as NFI's representative both within the store and within the community.Continually evaluates and reacts to performance issues.Actively recruits management candidates.
- Assists Store Director with training and developing store team in all aspects of the business; direct and monitor training and development for all store personnel.

- Enforces all safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model Any other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise Associates in the store. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Directly supervises non-supervisory associates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Training Associates; planning, assigning, and directing work.Appraising performance; rewarding and coaching Associates.Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- 2 years of supermarket management experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to work with Supermarket math concepts such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentages, distribution, penetration, gross profit, and Sales Per Associate Hour.
