VES is seeking a Business Financial Manager with a concentration on in the DoD area to join an exciting team working in the Arlington, VA area. This position involves impactful work with a great team. This immediate opportunity supports the Department of Defense (DoD) in managing the full life cycle of large-scale Research and Development (R&D) efforts. The Financial Manager will analyze innovative solutions to complex problems and apply advanced consulting expertise, strategic planning, program and project management, budgeting and financial execution, document creation, and administrative and logistical coordination.
Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience managing government programs
• 5+ years of experience managing the finances of a government programs
• Experience working with DARPA, ARPAe, IARPA, and other Advanced Research Project Agencies
• Experience developing program budgets, schedules, and tracking financial commitments, obligations, and expenditures
• Experience with new program acquisition, solicitations, and contracting actions
• Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
• Bachelor's Degree

Desired Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
• Current SECRET clearance
• Experience providing analysis and support to defense R&D programs
• Experience working with the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) financial system
• Experience generating MIPR and PR documents
• Exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork
