About This Position
Description:
Field Torcher
As a Field Torcher at Power Drive Supply, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining torching equipment to process metal scrap effectively. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all materials are prepared for recycling efficiently and safely. You will work closely with a team to create a productive and safe work environment while adhering to industry regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate torches and other cutting equipment to prepare metal for recycling.
- Material Preparation: Cut, shape, and process various metal scrap materials according to specifications.
- Material Reduction: Cut large materials down into manageable sizes for hauling, ensuring they are suitable for transportation and processing.
- Field Assistance: Go to job sites and assist crews in cutting up materials for gathering, promoting collaboration between team members in various field operations.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow team members to maximize productivity and maintain a safe working environment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring personal and team safety at all times.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work and ensure that all processed materials meet the required standards for recycling.
- Maintenance Duties: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on torching equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Reporting: Assist in maintaining accurate records of work done and materials processed.
- Knowledge of torching equipment and metal processing techniques is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety procedures consistently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
