Job Description
DESCRIPTION
As a Sandblasting Technician, you’ll help fulfill customer orders by preparing parts and surfaces through abrasive blasting processes while staying on track with production schedules, following safety and quality procedures, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and participate in our 6S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Operate blasting equipment including blast booths, blast pots, air compressors, and material handling systems.
• Prepare parts for blasting by reviewing work orders, masking, plugging, and staging parts according to production specifications.
• Perform abrasive blasting on a variety of parts and materials to meet customer and quality standards.
• Inspect blasted parts to ensure proper surface profile, cleanliness, and overall quality prior to coating or additional processing.
• Load and unload parts safely onto racks, carts, or fixtures while preventing product damage.
• Monitor blasting equipment performance and report any maintenance or operational concerns promptly.
• Support our ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Management System by following standard procedures and documenting results accurately.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and resolve production issues.
• Maintain blast media, clean equipment, and keep work areas organized and production-ready.
• Track production output and complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Contribute to a positive, team-first environment that emphasizes accountability and shared success.
• Remain flexible and open to assisting in other production areas, including prepping/masking and loading/unloading as needed.
• Maintain a customer-focused mindset, understanding that quality workmanship and on-time delivery directly impact customer satisfaction and company reputation.
QUALIFICATIONS

Being adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced specialty surface coating and finishing environment is necessary to deliver superior results and exceed the expectations of our internal and external customers.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours per shift, on concrete floors.
• Regularly lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
• Work in a loud, dusty, and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to blasting media, industrial coatings, cleaning chemicals, and other industrial substances (PPE provided).
• Required to wear appropriate PPE, including blast hoods, respirators, gloves, hearing protection, safety glasses, and protective clothing, as needed.
• Ability to work in enclosed blasting areas and around compressed air systems.
Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm plus one Saturday per month.
