The position exists in the radiology department and involves responsibility for the performance of specialized and routine radiographic and computed tomography procedures as prescribed by physicians. The work is performed under the general direction of a radiologist with regard to the discretion of independent judgement in carrying out technical details of the work. The incumbent does related work as required. Basic computer skills necessary.

Qualifications:

Education: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology.

Experience: 2 years in Radiologic Technology or 1 year in Computer Tomography.

Licensure: ARRT registered required, NYS license required, Certified to Inject with DOH, CPR certification required, CT certification.

Physical:

Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time, occasional lifting, carrying and pushing items weighing 50+ lbs. Requires a full range of motion for handling and lifting to include manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal ranges. Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids on a regular basis. Workload can include stressful situations and irregular work hours.

Salary: $36.78-52.35 per hour DOE, plus shift differential if applicable
