About This Position
Position Summary
The Removable Dental Lab Manager oversees all operations of our in-house removable prosthetics laboratory, including dentures, partials, relines, repairs and nightguards. This role ensures high-quality, timely fabrication while leading a skilled technical team and supporting communication between our Doctors and the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
· Supervise, train, and mentor technicians in all phases of removable prosthetic fabrication
· Manage scheduling, staffing, and workflow to meet turnaround times
· Conduct performance evaluations and ensure ongoing technical competency
Fabrication Oversight
· Establish and oversee quality control procedures throughout all stages of fabrication
· Troubleshoot complex removable cases and provide technical guidance to team members
· Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment
Communication
· Serve as primary contact for Dentists and Practice Managers regarding removable cases
· Review prescriptions, clarify case details and offer technical recommendations
· Resolve quality issues, remake concerns and case delays professionally and promptly
· Provide occasional chairside or virtual support as needed
Process Optimization & Compliance
· Implement standardized workflows to increase efficiency and reduce remakes
· Maintain accurate production records, logs and reporting for management
· Manage inventory of materials and coordinate ordering of supplies
Requirements:Qualifications
· Minimum 7+ years of experience in removable prosthetics
· Previous supervisory or management experience in a dental laboratory setting
· Strong technical knowledge of full/partial dentures, occlusion principles and fabrication methods
· Ability to read and interpret prescriptions, digital concepts and case documentation
· Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
