The Tabulator is a vital part of ensuring our competitions maintain their scoring integrity. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the Judges throughout the event, ensuring that they adhere to the Journey scoring standards and keep a clear, big-picture view of our scoring culture. You will assist Judges with testing their scoring/critiquing equipment, ensuring they arrive at their stations on time, and answering any questions that may arise. After each routine, a numerical score and critique from all three Judges will be sent to your station. You will document each score, ensure all the critiques are saving properly and record specific information for each individual entry. Additionally, you will print and mark-up paperwork for the Event Director to read on stage during the awards ceremonies. Attention to detail is crucial, as even a small mistake can create significant consequences for multiple studios, dancers, and entries. You must work quickly and accurately under pressure, with a turnaround time from the last entry to the awards ceremony of only 7 minutes. During this time, you will facilitate the Judges' selection of awards, double-check accuracy, and deliver the marked-up paperwork to the Event Director before the ceremony starts. This position requires impeccable attention to detail and accuracy, as well as the ability to work effectively under high pressure. This position is for individuals who love working with numbers, gathering facts, and thrive in a live-event setting. If this is you – apply now!

Humble. You do the unglamorous work without being asked and without needing credit. You take feedback as a gift, not defensive. There's no job on site that's beneath you.

Hungry. You see the problem before it lands. You move with urgency. You'd rather be trusted with more than coast through less. You're the one asking "what else can I grab?"

Smart with people. You read a room. You can talk to a shy 7-year-old, a stressed studio director, and a teammate running on four hours of sleep — and leave all three better than you found them.

The job isn’t always easy, but that’s what makes it rewarding. You’ll be challenged, trusted, and pushed to grow while working alongside a team that cares deeply about what we do and the people we do it for. Bring your energy, your work ethic, and your heart. We’ll take care of the rest.

It's a passion, and we're dedicated to making an impact in the dance world. Join Team Journey!
