Plumb House, Inc.
Milford, Massachusetts

Plumb House is seeking motivated Project Engineers to join our construction team and build a long-term career in commercial construction. This opportunity is well suited for recent graduates and early-career professionals who want hands-on exposure to the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale construction projects.

Founded in 1973, Plumb House is a family-founded general contractor specializing in wood-frame and cast-in-place multifamily construction throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut. • Assist with subcontractor coordination and monitor progress against project plans and schedules.
• Spend time in the field observing construction activities and developing an understanding of sequencing, quality, safety, and constructability.
• Work collaboratively with Plumb House's self-performing teams, including concrete, wood framing, siding, and interior finish operations.
• Assist with project closeout, punch lists, turnover documentation, and other completion activities.
• Promote Plumb House's commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and professional conduct.
• Take on increasing levels of responsibility as construction knowledge and project experience develop.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Construction Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
• Recent graduates and candidates beginning their careers in construction are encouraged to apply.
• Previous construction internship, co-op, or field experience is beneficial but not required.

• Ability to work effectively with project managers, field personnel, subcontractors, clients, and design professionals.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and follow-through skills.
• Comfortable working in both office and active construction-site environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; exposure to construction management software is beneficial.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.

Plumb House views the Project Engineer position as the foundation for a long-term career within the organization. Project Engineers receive exposure to multiple areas of construction and work directly with experienced professionals who can help develop their technical, operational, and leadership skills.

Employees may develop toward one of two primary career paths:

Operations / Project Management:
Project Engineer → Assistant Project Manager → Project Manager → Senior Project Manager / Project Executive

Field / Site Management:
Project Engineer → Assistant Superintendent → Superintendent → Senior Field Leadership

Career progression is based on individual development, performance, demonstrated capabilities, and business needs.

At Plumb House, employees have the opportunity to learn construction from both the management and field perspectives. Our self-performing capabilities in concrete, wood framing, siding, and interior finish provide Project Engineers with valuable exposure to how projects are actually built—not simply how they are managed.

Plumb House is committed to a merit-based culture that recognizes individual effort, attitude, skill, productivity, and team achievement. We support professional development and provide opportunities for employees to take on greater responsibility as they grow.

With more than five decades in business, a safety-first philosophy, an experienced construction team, and a client retention rate approaching 95%, Plumb House offers early-career professionals the opportunity to build their careers with an established contractor focused on long-term relationships and long-term success.
