- Serve as the regional payroll subject matter expert, providing guidance on local regulations, payroll processes, and operational best practices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Sales, Customer Service, Product, and Engineering to improve payroll operations and support platform enhancements.
- Conduct testing, document requirements, validate payroll functionality, and assist with the rollout of operational and product improvements.
- Troubleshoot payroll, compliance, and integration issues while coordinating effective resolutions with internal teams and external partners.
- Develop and maintain payroll documentation, operational procedures, training materials, and compliance records.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes across assigned countries, assess impacts, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Build and manage relationships with payroll vendors and local partners to ensure consistent service quality and operational alignment.
- Lead payroll implementations for new countries and clients, ensuring scalable processes and successful onboarding.
- Oversee year-end payroll activities and tax documentation submissions in accordance with local requirements.
- 5+ years of payroll experience managing regional or multi-country payroll operations, preferably within high-growth or fast-paced environments.
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, payroll processing, vendor management, and operational payroll delivery.
- Proven experience working with managed payroll services and coordinating activities across multiple countries and time zones.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts and data to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including payroll reconciliation, issue investigation, and process optimization.
- Experience managing payroll escalations and delivering high-quality support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while effectively managing competing priorities.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and project coordination skills.
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are considered an asset.
- Adaptability and resilience in navigating evolving regulations, processes, and business needs.
- Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and regional market standards.
- Fully remote work environment with flexibility and autonomy.
- Opportunity to manage payroll operations across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
- Exposure to global payroll projects, implementations, and compliance initiatives.
- Collaborative and international work environment with cross-functional engagement.
- Professional development opportunities and ongoing learning in global payroll and workforce operations.
- High level of ownership and strategic influence within a growing organization.
- Opportunity to contribute directly to process improvements and operational scalability.
